VJ Master Terms of Use
Effective Date: 19/04/2025
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the use of the VJ Master (“Plugin”), a product developed by Aaron Trotter, ShaderTech (“Licensor”) and made available through Epic Games’ Fab Marketplace (“Fab”).
By purchasing, downloading, or using this Plugin, you (“Licensee”) agree to comply with these Terms, as well as the overarching terms set forth by Epic Games. All licenses for this Plugin are sold under and governed by the Epic Fab End User License Agreement (EULA) and the Fab’s official licensing model, which can be reviewed at the following links:
1. License Type and Scope
This Plugin is licensed on a per-seat basis, in accordance with Epic’s standard license model. Each individual who installs, accesses, or uses the Plugin must have a valid seat license purchased through Fab.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the Fab EULA, Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Plugin only within Unreal Engine.
2. Team Licensing and Custom Arrangements
If you are part of a team or organization and require multiple seats or a custom licensing arrangement, please contact Aaron Trotter at hello@aarontrotter.com directly. I am happy to work with you and your team to find a solution that best fits your needs, including bulk licensing or enterprise-specific agreements.
3. Permitted Uses
You may:
- Use the Plugin in any Unreal Engine project, including commercial and non-commercial projects.
- Modify the Plugin source code (if provided) for internal use only.
- Distribute projects that include the Plugin in compiled form, in line with the Fab EULA.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
- Use the Plugin with engines or platforms other than Unreal Engine.
- Share, sublicense, redistribute, or transfer the Plugin independently of your Unreal Engine project, unless otherwise permitted under the Fab EULA.
- Bypass the per-seat licensing model by sharing a license among multiple individuals.
5. Returns & Refunds
Refunds for this Plugin are handled through Epic Games and are subject to the Fab Refund Policy. You may be eligible for a refund under the following conditions:
- Within 14 days of purchase, provided the Plugin has not been downloaded;
- If the Plugin is not in conformity with the description on Fab;
- If the seller approves a refund in good faith (e.g., due to technical issues that prevent you from using the Plugin as advertised);
- If Epic Games, at its sole discretion, determines that a refund is warranted based on the circumstances.
You may not be eligible for refunds if Epic determines that you are abusing this Fab Refund Policy. This does not affect your statutory rights available to you under the applicable law.
Important:
These refund terms apply only to purchases made directly through Fab. Any custom licensing agreements or bulk/team purchases arranged directly with the Licensor outside of Fab are not eligible for refunds under the Fab Refund Policy. Such agreements will be governed by separate terms established between you and the Licensor at the time of purchase.
6. Ownership and Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Plugin remain the sole property of the Licensor. You are granted a limited license, not ownership, under these Terms and the Fab EULA.
7. Support and Updates
The Licensor may, but is not obligated to, provide updates, bug fixes, or support. Compatibility with future versions of Unreal Engine is not guaranteed.
8. Warranty Disclaimer and Liability
The Plugin is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The Licensor disclaims all liability for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Plugin, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Termination
Your license to use the Plugin may be terminated if you violate these Terms or the Fab EULA. Upon termination, all use of the Plugin must cease, and all copies must be deleted.
10. Governing Terms
These Terms supplement the Fab EULA. Where these Terms impose additional limitations, they apply in full. Where they conflict, the Fab EULA takes precedence.
